Prótesis híbrida en maxilectomía total. Caso clínico

RESUMEN
La maxilectomía por cáncer deja secuelas que comunican la cavidad oral con la nasal, permitiendo el intercambio de los fluidos oronasales, dificultando el habla, la masticación, la deglución y generalmente causando deformidades faciales, que en conjunto disminuyen la autoestima. Para devolver estas funciones se requieren de la fabricación de aparatos protésicos no convencionales, modificados y de difícil elaboración. Como el diseño para un obturador protésico de retención híbrida, cerrojo colgante o swing-lock.
