Identificación de factores de riesgo asociados con disfunción de sistemas de derivación ventrículo peritoneal en pacientes con hidrocefalia secundaria a neurocisticercosis

RESUMEN
La cisticercosis es una enfermedad parasitaria de gran incidencia mundial, la sintomatología es variada, la cefalea y crisis convulsivas son frecuentes cuando existe hipertensión intracraneal por hidrocefalia se debe usar una derivación que pueda dejar de funcionar al obstruirse. Se estudiaron 72 pacientes con hidrocefalia, secundaria a cisticercosis a los que se aplicó una derivación ventriculo peritoneal, si las proteínas del LCR están incrementa aumenta el riesgo de obstrucción valvular sobre todo en los pacientes que presentan presión alta siendo la obstrucción más frecuente en el extremo distal.
