FRAGMENTO
Blastocystis sp. es un parásito de distribución mundial, cuya localización habitual es el aparato digestivo de los humanos y otros animales. Independientemente de la elevada prevalencia e incidencia de la infección por ese protozoo, la controversia entre investigadores y médicos de asistencia en relación con su posible papel como productor de enfermedad es creciente.
