ABSTRACT
Introduction: The excision is the treatment in case of Meckel’s diverticulum symptomatics. The objective is to report our experience in the management by laparoscopy
Material and Methods: Retrospective study over a period of 3 years rewiew the patients approached by laparoscopy.
Results: 11 patients: 10 were bleeding gastrointestinal and the other was incidental. The mean age was 3.5 years, most frecuently in males. Of these cases, 5 had diverticulectomy the others six had resection and anastomosis. Ectopic gastric mucosa was present en 54.5%, don’t showed ectopic mucosa in ileon or in the base of the diverticulum. The stay hospital average 8.8 days.
Conclusions: Laparoscopy is safe and efficient for the diagnosis and definitive treatment of meckel’s diverticulum for diverticulectomy or assisted resection and anastomosis
