ABSTRACT
Postoperative complications are important causes of functional and aesthetic sequelae varying degrees of involvement depending on the individual comorbidities and hence the importance of an early and comprehensive approach to the patient before, during and after any surgical procedure is scheduled or emergency Assisted closure therapy, negative pressure should not be used as a replacement for surgical debridement as the initial treatment of all infected wound is debridement. However, the VAC therapy is shown as a tool in the healing of wounds in patients at risk, reducing mortality and morbidity, sequelae, and longer hospital stays.
