ABSTRACT
Clicnical case: We describe a case of a 29-year-old primigravid woman, with diagnosis of Glanzmann´s trombasthenia since childhood. The resolution of pregnancy was at 38 weeks, abdominally, established by obstetric indication. No derivative complications of surgery or anesthetic procedure were reported. A live birth, female of 2620 g, 37 weeks by Capurro´s evaluation, and Apgar 8/9 minutes to 1 and 5 was obtained. The patient received transfusions of platelet and globular concentrates to improvement the clinical response. Non-required additional intervention. Two days after she left without complications. Conclusions: Higher doses of uterotonic agents and platelet transfusion therapy during delivery is usually enough as a preventive approach in these patients. Other options are plasmapheresis, recombinant factor VIIa and steroids. Pregnancy resolution varies upon the patient’s obstetric condition.
