Pólipo fibroepitelial en la unión pieloureteral

RESUMEN

Los pólipos fibroepiteliales del uréter constituyen una entidad rara. Con el objetivo de comentar la presentación clínica, diagnóstico y tratamiento de un pólipo fibroepitelial del uréter se realizó el presente artículo. Se presenta un paciente de 23 años, masculino que consulta por dolor lumbar izquierdo gravativo. Se diagnosticó por estudios imagenológicos y gammagrafía renal un síndrome de la unión pieloureteral izquierda. Durante la pielografía transoperatoria, previa a la pieloplastia se sospechó un posible pólipo ureteral. En el tiempo laparoscópico se realizó inicialmente pielotomía que permitió comprobar la presencia del pólipo creciendo desde la unión pieloureteral izquierda hacia el uréter proximal. Se resecó la unión pieloureteral izquierda y se completó la pieloplastia según Anderson Hynes. El estudio anátomo-patológico confirmó el diagnóstico. La pieloplastia mediante abordaje laparoscópico brindó una novedosa opción terapéutica para el tratamiento de un pólipo de la unión ureteral que se presentó como una obstrucción de la unión pieloureteral izquierda. Se obtuvieron resultados perioperatorios y funcionales satisfactorios a largo plazo.
