Rinosinusitis bacteriana aguda

RESUMEN

La rinosinusitis bacteriana aguda (RSBA) representa una de las infecciones respiratorias más frecuentes, sin embargo, muchas veces no se hace su correcto diagnóstico o su tratamiento es inadecuado. El objetivo de este artículo es presentar una revisión sencilla y actual para los médicos no otorrinolaringólogos de esta patología, para dar una guía de tratamiento adecuado de la misma. Se realizó una búsqueda de artículos y textos actuales para condensar la información más importante.
Conclusión: El diagnóstico de la RSBA es fundamentalmente clínico, debe tratarse con el antimicrobiano más adecuado en cada caso, y se sugiere el empleo de medicamentos adyuvantes para su resolución.
