Obstrucción del intestino delgado por adherencias

RESUMEN

La obstrucción del intestino delgado es una emergencia médico-quirúrgica común, representa aproximadamente el 20% de todos los ingresos hospitalarios; como etiología principal se encuentran las adherencias postoperatorias en países desarrollados y en vías de desarrollo entre un 65-90% de los casos.
Debido a que no es sencillo definir basado en clínica, escenarios complicados con isquemia intestinal, se debe realizar una c orrelación con estudios de laboratorio y radiológicos para determinar correctamente la conducta terapéutica a seguir.
Este artículo es una revisión de la literatura de la obstrucción del intestino delgado por adherencias, del manejo médico y quirúrgico y las medidas de prevención de las adherencias postoperatorias.
