Hemorragia uterina anormal y enfermedad de von Willebrand

RESUMEN

Introducción: El factor de von Willebrand es parte fundamental de la hemostasia, el cual, interactúa con las plaquetas y permite la interacción de estas con el endotelio, lo que sirve como transportador y estabilizador del factor VIII.
Objetivo: Realizar una revisión de tema que permita comprender la hemorragia uterina anormal, la enfermedad de von Willebrand y su relación.
Métodos: Se realizó una búsqueda de bibliografía durante los meses de enero y marzo del año 2021 a partir de la utilización de las bases de datos médicas PubMed, SciELO, Medline y ScienceDirect y mediante los términos “abnormal uterine bleeding” y “von Willebrand disease”. Se seleccionaron los artículos en idiomas inglés y español, publicados posterior al 2015.
Conclusiones: La enfermedad de von Willebrand es una coagulopatía que puede manifestarse en un amplio espectro de enfermedades, especialmente mediante manifestaciones clínicas de sangrado. En el caso de la hemorragia uterina anormal este sangrado afecta la salud y la calidad de vida de las pacientes, por tanto, es de vital importancia el diagnóstico precoz y tratamiento integral oportuno.
