INTRODUCCIÓN

Las lesiones condrales en la patela, en la tróclea femoral o en ambas pueden ser el resultado de traumatismos por contusión directa o indirecta en el caso de la luxación traumática de la patela o inestabilidad patelo-femoral (PF) con episodios recurrentes de subluxación. Estas lesiones se manifiestan con dolor de intensidad variable que generalmente se asocia con actividad física: especialmente al subir y bajar escaleras, al caminar en superficies inclinadas o irregulares, al intentar incorporarse desde la posición sedente o al permanecer en posición sedente con las rodillas flexionadas durante tiempo prolongado.
