INTRODUCCIÓN

La sobrecarga hídrica intraoperatoria en pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica (ERC) se asocia estrechamente con lesión renal aguda, disfunción multiorgánica y mayor mortalidad perioperatoria. La evidencia actual indica que en este contexto la congestión venosa, más que la hipovolemia, es el principal mecanismo responsable del deterioro renal.
