INTRODUCCIÓN

El ultrasonido aplicado al manejo de la vía aérea se ha convertido en una herramienta cada vez más relevante en anestesiología, medicina crítica y urgencias. En pediatría, el ultrasonido ofrece ventajas particulares debido a la menor profundidad de las estructuras anatómicas y la menor calcificación de los cartílagos laríngeos, lo que permite obtener imágenes de alta resolución.
