INTRODUCCIÓN
El bocio gigante constituye uno de los desafíos más complejos en el manejo anestesiológico perioperatorio. Definido como una glándula tiroidea con peso igual o superior a 100g (algunos autores consideran el umbral en 150g), esta entidad puede acompañarse de distorsión significativa de la vía aérea superior e inferior, lo que convierte cada caso en un escenario de riesgo vital potencial.
