FRAGMENTO
La anestesia fuera de quirófano (NORA,
por sus siglas en inglés) se refiere a la administración
de anestesia fuera de los entornos
tradicionales de quirófano. Aproximadamente
entre 25 y 35.9% de los procedimientos que requieren
manejo anestésico se realizan fuera del
quirófano, y es probable que esta cifra continúe
aumentando.
La administración de anestesia fuera del
quirófano convencional requiere condiciones
estructurales y de seguridad equivalentes a las
de un quirófano tradicional, con el objetivo de
garantizar una atención anestésica segura y eficiente.
Previo a la administración de cualquier
técnica anestésica, el anestesiólogo debe evaluar
de manera integral las capacidades, limitaciones
y accesibilidad tanto de la fuente primaria como
de los sistemas de respaldo de oxígeno; se recomienda
el suministro de oxígeno mediante una
red centralizada que cumpla con las normativas
y estándares institucionales vigentes.
