Prevalencia de autolesión no suicida en adolescentes y jóvenes mexicanos: hallazgos nacionales de la Encodat 2025

RESUMEN
Objetivo. Estimar la prevalencia de autolesión no suicida
en adolescentes y jóvenes mexicanos, y caracterizar la conducta
considerando variables sociodemográficas.
Material
y métodos. Análisis secundario de la Encodat 2025, con
una muestra de 7 428 adolescentes y jóvenes mexicanos de
12 a 29 años.
Resultados. La prevalencia nacional de ANS
alguna vez fue de 7.1%, con un promedio de edad de inicio
de 13 años. El principal método de autolesión fueron los
cortes, y la zona más frecuente, las extremidades superiores.
El 19.1% requirió tratamiento médico debido a las lesiones.
Las mujeres, población adolescente, personas que viven en la
Ciudad de México y quienes estudian y trabajan o no tienen
actividad, tuvieron mayor probabilidad de ANS.
Conclusión.
Es prioritario el trabajo preventivo con los adolescentes que
refuercen herramientas de regulación emocional, así como
en su contexto social.
