FRAGMENTO

Durante estos últimos años las técnicas endoscópicas se desarrollaron en numerosas áreas. Hoy en día una gran cantidad de equipos intentan aplicar dichas técnicas al raquis.
A nivel del raquis lumbar, la endoscopía le sigue a las técnicas percutáneas que se desarrollan desde principios de los años 60. Parece ser que la foraminoscopía es una técnica interesante y se está estudiando en la actualidad.
La toracoscopía la utilizan los cirujanos especialistas en problemas torácicos para practicar biopsias pleurales y pulmonares, pleuroctomías parciales, lisis de adherencias pleurales, resecciones tumorales, pulmonares o mediastinales. Esta técnica permite también a los neurocirujanos el practicar simpatectomías.
