Nuestros niños viven actualmente en un mundo muy distinto al que todos hubiéramos deseado. Miles de sustancias tóxicas contaminan el aire que respiran, el agua que beben, los alimentos que consumen y los lugares donde corren y juegan. Las cuestiones ambientales a largo plazo son tan importantes para la salud de los niños como los accidentes, la diabetes y otro tipo de enfermedades lo son a corto y mediano plazo. Incluso han tenido poca publicidad o discusión en los círculos pediátricos.
