Tratamiento de los neuromas dolorosos de la mano y del antebrazo

RESUMEN

El neuroma es el resultado de la sección traumática de los axones. No es considerado un tumor verdadero ya que es una proliferación de tejido neural normal. En 20 a 30% de los pacientes resultan dolorosos. El diagnóstico es relativamente sencillo, no así su tratamiento. Han sido descritas múltiples técnicas para neuroma en el miembro torácico: éstas logran buenos resultados en 65 a 90% de los casos. Se presenta la experiencia en el manejo de los neuromas en antebrazo y mano en 17 pacientes, utilizando exéresis, neurorrafia, transposición a músculo o a hueso. Se analizan los algoritmos de tratamiento descritos por MacKinnon en los que fue basada la decisión terapéutica de nuestros pacientes.
