RESUMEN

El trastorno por déficit de atención con hiperactividad no es una enfermedad nueva, sin embargo ha cambiado a través de los años; su causa es desconocida. Esta condición requiere de varios especialistas para su diagnóstico y su tratamiento incluye no sólo al niño sino también a los padres, los maestros y otros miembros de la familia. Se pretende dar una idea de la complejidad delproblema y se sugeren ciertos elementos para su diagnóstico.
