Translocación macular con retinotomía en 360°

RESUMEN

Objetivo: Evaluar los resultados visuales posteriores a translocación macular (TM) con retinotomía 360° en pacientes con neovascularización coroidea (NVC) subfoveal secundaria a degeneración macular asociada con la edad (DMRE).
Métodos: Estudio prospectivo. Se estudiaron siete pacientes consecutivos con NVC que se sometieron a TM y tamponade con aceite de silicona. Se obtuvieron fotografías pre y postoperatorias para evaluar el tamaño y las características de la lesión; además se registró la agudeza visual (AV) lejana y cercana preoperatoria y a los 6 meses.
Resultados: En los siete pacientes la mácula se translocó exitosamente. A los seis meses postoperatorios la AV media se estabilizó en 0.70 U LogMAR.
Conclusiones: La TM estabiliza la visión y en algunos casos puede mejorar la AV.
