RESUMEN

El sangrado uterino anormal se puede presentar en un alto porcentaje de la población femenina y depende no sólo del manejo ginecológico, ya que al estar involucradas diversas patologías se requiere que su estudio y tratamiento sea multidisciplinario. En su abordaje deben tenerse en cuenta varios factores como son: la edad de la paciente, paridad y problemas de infertilidad. Se mencionan las vías y rutas para su estudio y los tratamientos hormonales y quirúrgicos que se lleguen a requerir.
