RESUMEN

Se comunica el caso de una paciente de 89 años de edad con un pólipo coanal de origen septal. Se revisa la bibliografía y se discuten las características clínicas, radiográficas e histopatológicas de la enfermedad. La poliposis nasal es una enfermedad inflamatoria crónica de la vía respiratoria alta que afecta del 1 al 4% de la población, y se desarrolla principalmente en la pared lateral nasal. Los pólipos de origen septal y con extensión coanal son extremadamente raros; sólo se han publicado tres casos en la literatura mundial.
