Lesiones traumáticas en dentición primaria

RESUMEN

Las lesiones traumáticas en la dentición temporal son muy comunes. Es importante que los dentistas y pediatras conozcan su tratamiento, ya que estos niños acudirán a ellos en situaciones de emergencia y la prontitud con la que se atiendan influirá directamente en el pronóstico. Esto nos lleva a efectuar una revisión de la literatura y determinar las recomendaciones necesarias para su tratamiento. Así, con el manejo adecuado de la ansiedad del paciente, un diagnóstico acertado, higiene cuidadosa y un buen monitoreo, es posible salvar dientes primarios traumatizados que de otra manera se perderían.
