RESUMEN

El tratamiento de ortodoncia en el paciente adulto es una práctica común en nuestros días, que nos lleva a considerar aspectos periodontales y biomecánicos especiales. El caso clínico que aquí se presenta involucra a un paciente adulto al cual se realizó tratamiento de ortodoncia, presentando antecedentes de periodontitis crónica moderada, una maloclusión traumática Clase III y una autoestima baja.
