Reporte de investigación de 5 casos de tratamiento de la fractura parasinfisaria mandibular ambulatoria con sistema Michelet-Champy bajo anestesia local

RESUMEN

La reducción abierta y fijación interna es el estándar en el manejo quirúrgico del trauma de tercio inferior facial; nuestro objetivo es evaluar la factibilidad del procedimiento quirúrgico bajo anestesia local en un régimen de cirugía mayor ambulatoria. Se presenta el tratamiento quirúrgico de reducción abierta y fijación interna con técnica de Michelet-Champy en 5 pacientes con diagnóstico de fractura parasinfisaria mandibular unilateral, empleando un abordaj vestibular mandibular y un procedimiento de anestesia local en régimen de cirugía mayor ambulatoria, en el Servicio de Cirugía Maxilofacial del Hospital Regional «General Ignacio Zaragoza» del Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales para los Trabajadores del Estado, realizado a partir del 1 de marzo de 2008 al 1 de mayo de 2009, el cual permite una reducción de los segmentos óseos fracturados, realizándolo de forma ambulatoria y evitando los riesgos asociados generalmente a la intervención quirúrgica bajo anestesia general.
