RESUMEN

El tratamiento multidisciplinario en la rehabilitación bucal de pacientes jóvenes que padecieron periodontitis agresiva generalizada representa un desafío debido a la reducción horizontal y vertical de los procesos alveolares que dan como resultado la disminución en el soporte, la estabilidad y retención de las prótesis totales. Reporte de un caso: Paciente femenino de 33 años de edad, el motivo principal de consulta fue una movilidad dental severa, halitosis, sangrado. Plan de tratamiento: Sobredentaduras implanto-retenidas mediante barras coladas y fresadas de titanio con aditamentos. Conclusión: La rehabilitación bucal de pacientes jóvenes con periodontitis agresiva generalizada severa mediante sobredentaduras implanto-retenidas constituye una alternativa terapéutica predecible, debido a ser un sistema preciso, de fácil manejo, con un pronóstico favorable a largo plazo. Así como costo accesible y disminución de complicaciones técnicas y clínicas.
