RESUMEN

El herpes zoster es una afección peculiar debido a su compleja fisiopatología, su cuadro clínico enormemente variado y la diversidad de afecciones que influyen en su presentación. Este artículo hace una revisión de la epidemiología, patogenia, cuadro clínico, complicaciones, diagnóstico, tratamiento y prevención del herpes zoster.
