Histiocitosis de células de Langerhans vertebral con compresión medular en un infante

RESUMEN

Presentamos un caso poco común de histiocitosis de células de Langerhans o histiocitosis X localizada a la columna vertebral, que condicionó compresión de la médula espinal en un niño de dos meses de edad, que se diagnosticó y trato en el Instituto Nacional de Pediatría, México. Revisamos los hallazgos clínicos, radiológicos e histopatológicos. Se describe su recuperación neurológica y seguimiento posterior al tratamiento quirúrgico y quimioterapia.
