Alargamiento de peroné en el tratamiento del tobillo valgo paralítico en Costa Rica

RESUMEN

Diferentes técnicas han sido propuestas para tratar el tobillo valgo paralítico, nuestra técnica actúa directamente sobre el peroné mediante alargamiento progresivo con Fijación Externa, utilizamos la clasificación de Malhotra para determinar el nivel de la físis peroneal distal con respecto a la físis tibial distal. El procedimiento se realizó en 10 pacientes, con edades entre 4 y 10 años, se analizó mejoría clínica y radiológica. En los pacientes hubo alto porcentaje de satisfacción y aceptación del nuevo método. Concluimos que este método es bastante confiable para el acortamiento del peroné en tobillo valgo paralítico.
