Sarcoma sinovial en un paciente con reemplazo total de cadera metal-plástico. Informe de un caso

RESUMEN

Se presenta el caso de un sarcoma sinovial después de 5 años de artroplastía total de cadera primaria en un paciente del sexo masculino de 65 años de edad quien fue tratado quirúrgicamente por dolor en la cadera izquierda debido a coxartrosis. Se le colocó una prótesis no cementada con tribología metal-polietileno de 32 mm. El paciente desarrolló un sarcoma sinovial que desarrolló metástasis a pulmones. Se discute la asociación de artroplastía total de cadera con malignidad y su frecuencia mundial.
