RESUMEN

El Síndrome de Ovario Poliquístico (SOP) constituye un problema metabólico para quienes lo padecen, no obstante, por las alteraciones cutáneas que conlleva, también es una molestia estética, social y cultural. Por lo que el adecuado tratamiento se convierte en una pieza fundamental para quienes lo sufren. La terapéutica puede ir enfocada en tratar la alteración e inducir la fertilidad en las pacientes cuya intención es procrear hijos, o por otro lado, controlar el trastorno y a la vez procurar la anticoncepción.
