La sangre humana es la única fuente de eritrocitos, plaquetas y plasma, e incluye los factores de la coagulación. La transfusión es una forma simple de trasplante de órgano ya que se transfiere de un donante a un paciente, para corregir temporalmente una deficiencia o alteración de una función.
