Paciente portador de Virus de la Inmunodeficiencia Humana con un carcinoma de células escamosas en lengua: Reporte de caso

RESUMEN

El VIH/SIDA es una enfermedad que compromete el sistema inmunitario del paciente haciéndolo más propenso a enfermedades oportunistas y en algunos casos al desarrollo del neoplasias malignas. El carcinoma oral de células escamosas aunque no se encuentra entre las enfermedades asociadas al VIH/SIDA, el estado de inmunosupresión que presenta el paciente portador de la infección viral lo hace más susceptible a otras infecciones virales oncogénicas y al avance del tumor. Presentamos el caso de un paciente VIH/SIDA que desarrolla un carcinoma de células escamosas en borde lateral de lengua.
