RESUMEN
La vasculitis del tracto genital femenino es una condición clínica y patológica extremadamente rara, ya que no hay más de 50 casos reportados en la literatura universal. Su diagnóstico se realiza generalmente de forma accidental y en muy pocas ocasiones tiene una repercusión sistémica. Sin embargo, los cuadros durante el periodo grávido-puerperal no han sido reportados con anterioridad y su presentación clínica puede condicionar episodios de hemorragia aguda severa. Se presenta el caso de una paciente que ameritó histerectomía abdominal de urgencia en el puerperio tardío y cuidados intensivos por el choque hipovolémico y coagulación intravascular diseminada que desarrolló secundariamente.
