Fantasmas en la Clínica del Dolor del Hospital General de México (HGM). [Primera parte]

Recuerdo histórico

La primera descripción médica de la sensación fantasma postamputación fue dada por Ambrosio Paré (1510-1590), él notificó que los pacientes pueden quejarse de fuertes dolores en el miembro perdido posterior a la amputación. Paré caracterizó el síndrome postamputación y propuso diferentes modelos para explicar el dolor.
