Tratamiento estético de la enfermedad de Romberg: Experiencia con 78 caso

RESUMEN

Presentamos nuestra experiencia en el tratamiento estético de 78 pacientes con enfermedad de Romberg utilizando colgajos libres de dermis grasa para proporcionar volumen, y procedimientos reconstructivos tradicionales. El colgajo inguinal fue utilizado en 60 pacientes, seguido por el colgajo escapular y el dorsal ancho. Para obtener un mejor contorno, se utilizaron procedimientos secundarios como: adelgazamiento del colgajo, colgajos de fascia temporal para dar volumen a la órbita y región temporal, injertos de cartílago y hueso, cirugía ortognática y otros procedimientos estéticos convencionales. Fueron considerados excelentes los resultados obtenidos en el 90% de los casos leves, en el 66% de los moderados y en el 40 por ciento de los casos severos. Se obtuvieron resultados buenos en el 10% de los leves, en el 25% de los moderados, y en el 30% de los severos. Se consideraron resultados malos en el 30% de los casos severos.
