RESUMEN

En la literatura se han publicado pocos casos de migración proximal de sistema de derivación ventrículo-peritoneal y ventrículo-atrial. Aquí se presentan cuatro casos en tres pacientes de migración proximal de catéter de derivación ventrículo-peritoneal y ventrículo-atrial. Un caso con migración completa al ventrículo lateral derecho, otro con migración intracraneal subdural del catéter junto con el reservorio a través del trépano parietooccipital y el último con migración proximal y recidiva. Existen varios factores que pueden favorecer la migración; en los cuatro casos presentados, debido a mala fijación del catéter peritoneal distal. Se comentan los factores causales, así como el manejo en cada caso.
