Miocarditis aguda

RESUMEN

La miocarditis es una enfermedad inflamatoria del miocardio, cuya etiología puede ser diversa. La presentación clínica es muy variable, desde asintomática o signos de enfermedad vírica, hasta clínica de insuficiencia cardiaca congestiva aguda o fallo hemodinámico fulminante y muerte súbita. El diagnóstico se basa en la clínica y estudios complementarios, su confirmación se hace con la biopsia endomiocárdica.
