RESUMEN

La neurofibromatosis tipo I (NF-1) consiste en una enfermedad autosómica dominante, resultante de la mutación del cromosoma 17q. Dentro de las manifestaciones clínicas de esta patología se incluyen: neurofibromas, manchas café con leche, nódulos de Lisch, manifestaciones esqueléticas y déficit cognitivo. Se han reportado casos con alteraciones cerebrovasculares asociadas a NF-1 dentro de las que se incluyen: estenosis y oclusión de grandes vasos, fistulas arteriovenosas, malformaciones arteriovenosas y aneurismas. Relatamos el caso de un paciente con el diagnóstico de neurofibromatosis tipo I, ingresado en el Hospital Universitario Evangélico de Curitiba.
