Pregunta 1: ¿La transfusión sanguínea se asocia a un incremento en la tasa de infección del sitio quirúrgico (ISQx) y de la infección articular periprotésica (IAP)?


Consenso: Sí. Las transfusiones alogénicas están asociadas con un incremento en el riesgo de ISQx/IAP. El papel de la transfusión autóloga en el riesgo de ISQx/IAP no es concluyente.
