RESUMEN

El osteoma es un tumor benigno de crecimiento lento que se distingue por la proliferación de hueso compacto o trabecular. Los que aparecen en la mandíbula son poco frecuentes y su resección quirúrgica se indica cuando interfieren con la función mandibular, causan síntomas por compresión de estructuras vecinas o producen deformidad facial importante. Se comunica un caso de osteoma postraumático en el ángulo izquierdo de la mandíbula y dentición decidua, así como un análisis de la bibliografía.
