Los tumores son causa poco frecuente de atención en el período neonatal; la incidencia publicada es de 1 a 70 casos por cada 100 000 nacidos vivos, por lo que no todos los médicos que atienden a recién nacidos verán uno en su vida; sin embargo, cuando se presenta el caso, es necesario hacer un ejercicio clínico para aproximarnos al diagnóstico.
