FRAGMENTO

El árbol genealógico o pedigrí (derivado del inglés pedigree, y éste a su vez del francés pie de grue o pie de grulla); es la representación gráfica, organizada y resumida de la historia clínica familiar, en la que se emplea una simbología acordada internacionalmente. Los que nos dedicamos a la práctica de la Genética Clínica sabemos que es la herramienta de diagnóstico más preciada; sin embargo, tiene un valor limitado si los símbolos que se utilizan no pueden ser fácilmente interpretados.
