Amiloidosis cutánea y su tratamiento

RESUMEN

El depósito extracelular anormal de proteínas fibrosas amiloides se conoce con el término de amiloidosis. Este depósito se puede encontrar en uno o varios órganos, así como en la piel. La clasificación de amiloidosis cutánea incluye tres tipos según su morfología: macular, papular o liquenoide y nodular. El tratamiento de estas formas localizadas ha sido muy controvertido y hasta el momento no existe un tratamiento de elección. En este trabajo se presenta una revisión bibliográfica y se exponen los beneficios y desventajas de cada una de las formas terapéuticas.
