RESUMEN

En general, los procesos traumáticos han presentado un aumento exponencial en número y muertes a nivel mundial, nuestro país no es la excepción a esta tendencia, y las muertes por accidentes en general han venido tomando fuerza en estos últimos años, convirtiéndose en una de las principales causas de muerte reportadas. Dentro del traumatismo genitourinario, el trauma vesical es cualquier lesión violenta ejercida sobre la vejiga urinaria, por lo general, como resultado de un golpe contuso o una herida penetrante. Aunque en el pasado un traumatismo vesical era una patología grave asociada con una alta tasa de mortalidad, actualmente, con un diagnóstico efectivo y rápido y el tratamiento médico y quirúrgico, cursan con un pronóstico excelente
