FRAGMENTO

La infección profunda de las prótesis puede comunicarse con la piel a través de una fase celulítica o de una fístula. La importancia radica en su cronicidad y posterior aflojamiento mecánico con el consiguiente dolor. La medida intraoperatoria más importante para intentar evitar la infección, es el uso de antibióticos de manera profiláctica y, sobre todo, se recomienda previamente a una manipulación dental o del tracto génitourinario.
