Prurito en un paciente diabético, ¿indicador de lesión de órgano diana?

RESUMEN
Se presenta el caso de un varón diabético e hipertenso de 71 años de edad, que
tiene prurito generalizado, de probable etiología urémica, a consecuencia de un
rápido deterioro de la función renal. Una vez modificado el tratamiento, con mejoría
del filtrado glomerular y de los niveles de urea en sangre, la clínica desaparece y el
paciente permanece asintomático.
