Señor editor:

Por exantema se entiende una erupción cutánea aguda, que puede ser causada por infecciones virales y toxinas bacterianas, así como por reacciones medicamentosas. Se presenta el siguiente caso porque es interesante que a través del exantema se pudo realizar el diagnóstico del síndrome de inmunodeficiencia adquirida (sida).
