RESUMEN

La fibromialgia es un padecimiento doloroso frecuentemente reportado. Afecta predominantemente a mujeres en edad reproductiva. Dicho padecimiento en ocasiones limita las actividades cotidianas e impacta las condiciones asociadas con la vida. En nuestros días aún se desconocen diversos aspectos etiogénicos de la enfermedad, no obstante se ha recomendado que su diagnóstico temprano podría beneficiar a la población afectada. Para poder proporcionar estrategias útiles que alivien el dolor de estos enfermos se sugieren esquemas farmacológicos y no-farmacológicos.
